I was very active on Wiktionary several years ago. Now my focus shifted to Openstreetmap.org. Wikidata drew my attention as it seems like a great idea to have items of data once in one location. For instance, sometimes there is etymological information on street name signs which didn't find its place in Openstreetmap, but being able to link through to Wikidata solves that problem.

The tricky part is to figure out how to properly link between Wikidata and Openstreetmap.org. The only way that makes sense is by adding tags to OSM objects referring to Wikidata, but then the knowledge is in a foreign database.

Overpass API allows to find it there though. I haven't figured out how to add Overpass queries to Wikipedia articles yet though.
