Tasks
editAlexabot inserts or updates Alexa rank (P1661) for web page (Q36774) along with point in time (P585) as qualifier as well as reference URL (P854) and archive URL (P1065) as references
- It searches the ten largest Wikipedias ("en","de","fr","it","pt","ru","es","pl","zh","jp") for Alexa rankings (i.e. Alexa mentioned in the English Wikipedia) to obtain the Wikidata item.
- It makes use of the Alexa Internet (Q230051) XML API to retrieve the current Alexa ranking.
- It triggers the archivation of the corresponding Alexa ranking site using Internet Archive (Q461) for obtaining archive URL (P1065)
- It only updates Alexa rank (P1661) in case the last Alexa rank (P1661) is older than a given time interval (currently set to 30 days)
