Paridae sunt magna familia parvarum avium ordinis Passeriformium, quae plerumque in hemisphaerio septentrionali et Africa fiunt. Plurimae olim in genus Pari digerebantur.
Quae aves plerumque sunt parva species pingues et silvestres, quibus sunt rostra brevia et pinguia. Nonnullis sunt cristae. Longitudine variant a decem ad viginti duo centimetra. Sese ad circumiecta accommodant, diaetam mixtam petentes, quae plerumque in seminbus et insectis consistit.[1] Multae species vitam prope habitationes hominum degunt, et machinis avium pascendarum facile appropinquant ad semina vel nuces adipiscentes, aliosque victus capere discunt.
