Natura MAO-B

Genum MAOB in chromosomate X (Xp11.3) locatum est. In cerebro humano MAO-B praecipue in cellulis nervorum systematis serotonergici atque nucleis raphes (et dorsalibus et medianis) inventum est[1]. Enzymum MAO-B in thrombocytis quoque exprimuntur.

Effectus MAO-B

Enzym hoc decompositionem dopamini perficit. Inhibito igitur enzymi multitudinem dopamini augeat.

Inhibitores sunt Rasagilinum, Safinamidum[2], Selegilinum. Fumatio quoque MAO-B inhibit[3].
