Orientation and induction programs

A session for academics new to UQ, providing essential information about the University and your role as an academic.

An introduction to teaching and learning at UQ for tutors and casual academic sessional staff (three sessions over one semester).

Professional development events and courses

Prof-dev-courses

Twice a year, a program of online and in-person activities designed to help you prepare course materials for the upcoming semester.
A range of hands-on workshops (in-person and online) covering eLearning tools training, pedagogical workshops and educational media production.
There are multiple opportunities to connect with peers for teaching support: from Communities of Practice, peer observation of teaching and one-on-one support consultations.
Learn at your own pace with online courses offered by UQ Professional Learning. You can also access specialised podcasts.
