Le Québec de 1944 et John Maynard Keynes

Abstract
Keynes visited Ottawa in August 1944. He described in a letter his view of the Canadian political situation, in particular with respect to the conscription problem which was then raging. This view appears to have been strongly biased. Keynes s’est rendu en visite à Ottawa, au mois d’août 1944. Il a expédié au ministre des Finances britannique une lettre dans laquelle il présentait son point de vue sur la situation politique au Canada, particulièrement en ce qui concerne la question controversée de la conscription. Ce point de vue se révèle être fondé sur une perception très partielle de la réalité.
