Formacion de capital humano, mercados de credito Incompletos y subdesarrollo

Abstract
Las restricciones de credito que caracterizan los procesos de formacion de capital humano en diversos paises estan ligadas a la desigualdad en el ingreso y al subdesarrollo. Un modelo representativo de estas interrelaciones es el de Ljungqvist (2001), el cual expone que la imposibilidad de acceder a creditos educativos, debido a la falta de colateral, provoca la desaparicion del mercado de creditos para sectores de la poblacion con bajos ingresos. La intervencion adecuada del gobierno puede completar los mercados y mejorar la asignacion de recursos. Diversos estudios coinciden en que los esfuerzos de intervencion gubernamental deben enfocarse en la modificacion de las causas que originan las distorsiones del mercado y en la generacion de incentivos. Este documento presenta una revision de cierta literatura relevante sobre estos temas y la articula con una exposicion simplificada del modelo de Ljungqvist.
