Terminos de intercambio, progreso tecnico y crecimiento economico

Abstract
Objetivo: Estudiar, teorica y empiricamente, la relacion entre terminos de intercambio y la tasa de crecimiento del producto interno bruto per capita. Metodologia: En la parte teorica, se desarrolla un modelo de crecimiento con dos sectores, primario (exportador) y manufacturero (importador). Se deduce el producto agregado de la economia. En el largo plazo, los terminos de intercambio y el producto interno bruto per capita estan positivamente relacionados. Con el proposito de contrastar el resultado teorico, en la parte empirica, se hace un analisis aplicado para Peru de series de tiempo. Resultados: Se muestra que los terminos de intercambio y el producto interno bruto per capita estan cointegrados para Peru. Limitaciones: El articulo solamente analiza la relacion agregada entre terminos de intercambio y producto interno bruto per capita. Originalidad: Se estudia integralmente (con teoria y datos) la relacion entre terminos de intercambio y producto interno bruto per capita para una economia exportadora de materias primas. Conclusiones: Para Peru, exportador de materias primas, los terminos de intercambio son un determinante de su crecimiento economico
