Tipo de cambio y determinantes monetarios en el periodo de flotacion en Mexico

Abstract
El trabajo analiza las relaciones de causalidad entre el tipo de cambio “peso mexicano/dolar estadounidense” y una serie de variables que modelos monetarios del enfoque del mercado de activos para la determinacion del tipo de cambio identifica como determinantes de la paridad. La evidencia sugiere que el tipo de cambio nominal en el periodo de flotacion en Mexico causa en el sentido de Granger a sus determinantes, evidencia que es interpretada como consistente con las implicaciones del enfoque del mercado de activos para la determinacion de la paridad.
