Abstract
A hitelpiac közgazdasági vizsgálata során sokáig figyelmen kívül hagyták a kutatások azokat a vállalatokat, amelyek azért nem igényelnek kölcsönt, mert tartanak kérelmük elutasításától. Ennek a látens hitelkeresletnek a megfigyelését egyrészt a megfelelő értelmezési keret hiánya akadályozta, másrészt az érintett vállalati kör inaktivitása nehezítette, ugyanis a kapcsolat hiányából adódóan a bankok sem rendelkeznek információval róluk. Ennek ellenére a hazai szakirodalomban e terület tárgyalása kifejezetten hiányosnak mondható, miközben a gyorsabb ütemű gazdasági növekedésben is jelentős lehet a hiteligényléstől visszarettenő cégek szerepe. A cikk a fő elméleti alapvetések bemutatása, részben kiegészítése mellett a legfrissebb empirikus eredmények összefoglalásával kíván hozzájárulni a téma hazai megismertetéséhez.* Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: D22, D82, D91, E71, G14, G41.
