The helium market in the USA

Author

Listed:
  • Uri, Noel D.
Abstract
The market for helium, a by-product of the production of natural gas, in the United States is investigated in this paper. The market has been affected by the Helium Conservation Program operated by the US Department of the Interior. Even considering the many exogeneous influences operating as a result of this program, the results demonstrate that the quantity demanded and quantity supplied of Grade A helium have been influenced by normal economic forces.
