Abstract
The article presents information about notable Spanish Women Researchers on Economics, because there is little information published in this regard and we wish to contribute to Female visibility. We include a particular reference to women who have supervised several Doctoral Theses on Applied Economics, classified in two groups: 1) The pioneers, who are the first group of women who reached Doctorate in Spain, with own Thesis before the year 1986, and 2) other female researchers who reached their Doctorate after that year and have been also active supervisors of Theses in the field of Applied Economics. We also present comparisons of Spanish Female Economists included among Top researchers at Ideas.Repec and at other rankings. This article includes an Annex with supplementary information.
