Nuevas evidencias de la crisis calena

Abstract
Este documento emplea la información del Producto Interno Bruto de Cali recientemente publicada por el Departamento de Economía de la Universidad Icesi para demostrar que una de las razones de la fuerte caída del crecimiento del PIB municipal experimentada en 1998 y 1999 se debe a la caída de la productividad promedio por trabajador. De hecho, la productividad promedio por trabajador cayó mucho más en Cali que a nivel nacional y en Bogotá. Además, se encuentra que la economía calena presenta una volatilidad mayor que la economía nacional y la de Bogotá
