Kurz zum Klima: Herausforderungen der Elektrifizierung von Schwer- und Langstreckenverkehr

Abstract
Eine Elektrifizierung bzw. die Kopplung des Stromsektors mit dem Verkehrssektor spielt in allen Technologie­szenarien eine Schlüsselrolle in der Reduktion von THG-Emissionen. Viel Aufmerksamkeit ist hier der Elektrifizierung von Pkw zugekommen. Weniger im Fokus standen Schwer- und Langstreckentransport: Dabei generieren Flug- und Schiffsverkehr sowie der Gütertransport über Lkw aktuell mit 40% einen beträchtlichen Anteil der Emissionen im deutschen Verkehr. Der Beitrag aus der Reihe »Kurz zum Klima« bietet einen Überblick über die zentralen EU-Regularien, Herausforderungen und Möglichkeiten zur Sektorkopplung in diesen Segmenten des Verkehrssektors.
