Abstract
In contemporary times the environment is more threatened now than ever before as evidenced by increased pollution, emission, degradation, deforestation, and other climate change effects leading to high mortality rate as a relation of deadly diseases across the globe. There fore the study examined effect of board size and board meeting frequency on environmental disclosure of listed manufacturing firms in Nigeria covering the period of ten (10) year 2013-2022. The study adopted ex-post facto research design and secondary data was used for analysis which was obtained from Nigerian Exchange Group. Panel regression analysis technique was used to analyse the research data. The result showed that board size has a positive and significant effect on environmental disclosure of manufacturing firms in Nigeria while board meeting frequency has a negative significant effect on environmental disclosure of manufacturing firm in Nigeria. The study therefore concludes that board size and board meeting frequency has significant effect on environmental disclosure of manufacturing firm in Nigeria. The study recommend that management of manufacturing firm maintain the maximum number of directors that a company can have on its board which will not decline the extent of voluntary and transparent environmental disclosure. These bodies should equally ensure that the maximum number to establish should capture the necessary expertise needed for the effective and efficient running of the business because of the positive effect.
