Characteristics of Female Leaders and Their Position in the Business World

Abstract
This paper points out the importance of the role of leaders in modern organizations in the context of achieving business success as well as gaining and maintaining competitive advantage in a dynamic and complex surrounding. Special attention has been devoted to the characteristics of female leaders, their style of management, challenges and barriers that businesswomen are faced with in the world and in Serbia as well as the expectations about their future position.
