Maiolica, atau disebut juga sebagai Majolica[1] adalah tembikar timah yang berasal dari periode Renaisans. Karya ini dilukis dengan penuh warna pada latar belakang putih, yang terkadang menggambarkan adegan pada cerita sejarah dan mitos yang dikenal sebagai istoriato ("dilukis dengan cerita"). Pada akhir abad ke-15, di beberapa tempat, terutama kota-kota kecil Italia bagian tengah dan utara, mulai memproduksi barang-barang canggih untuk pasar mewah di Italia dan sekitarnya.
