Eleocharis palustris, na yau da kullum spike-rush, creeping spike-Rush ko marsh spike-urush, nau'in shuke-shuke ne masu fure a cikin dangin shuke shuke na Cyperaceae. Yana girma a cikin wuraren da ke da ruwa a Turai, Arewacin Afirka, arewa da tsakiyar Asiya (Siberia, China, Mongolia, Iran, Nepal, da dai sauransu) da Arewacin Amurka (Amurka, Kanada, Greenland, arewacin Mexico).[1][2][3][4][5][6] Eleocharis palustris ba a sauƙaƙe rarrabe shi daga wasu nau'o'in da ke da alaƙa da juna kuma yana da bambanci sosai a duk duniya kanta. Nau'in nau'in palustris shine Latin don "na marsh" kuma yana nuna mazauninta na yau da kullun.[7]
