A Rice ration (ちまき, Chimaki^?) is a consumable item in the Golden Sun series, first introduced in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. Like most consumable items, each party member can hold up to 30 rice rations in a single inventory slot. When used, a rice ration restores 80 Hit Points to a single party member. Rice rations can be bought for 30 coins and sold for 22 coins.

Locations

Kaocho's Tea Shop sells rice rations, Plump Dumplings, and Kaocho Dumplings. However, it only opens for business after Amiti joins Matthew's party and closes after they depart for the Clouds of Passaj.

A rice ration is dropped by Ku-Tsung upon defeat. His partner, Ku-Embra, drops a plump dumpling.

Cultural references

Chimaki is a Japanese rice dumpling wrapped in bamboo leaves.
