The DASISH metadata catalogue tries to present a unified view on metadata. It does this by mapping metadata records found in different domains onto one single set of properties. The documents in this wiki describe and define several concepts in the metadata mapping aspect of the catalogue.

Being in a wiki, the documents in it are not intended to be fixed. New properties or facets will be added, definitions can be changed and next to the semantics, a formal metadata will be presented. It is intended however, as reference when it comes to metadata and mapping matters in the DASISH metadata catalogue.
