- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~), be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

License tagging for File:Ottoman rump state.png
editThanks for uploading File:Ottoman rump state.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:31, 6 July 2022 (UTC)

Catagories
editCategories - particularly offensive ones - aren't added to articles based purely on the personal opinions of contributors. Repeat this, [1] and I will bring it to attention of administrators. AndyTheGrump (talk) 20:53, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
- yes i see that the problem is that it was unsourced. i assumed it was such a widespread stereotype it would be known. rules and decorum come first though you are right, sorry about that. Pythiaesque (talk) 20:58, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
