British Empire
editHi ... The BE article is a Featured Article and one of the mundane things which had to be done to it to get that status was to follow the WP:Manual of Style and to maintain consistency of references. To that end, would you mind fixing the refs you added to follow the existing style? ie add the ref to the section at the end with a #ref tag and then refer to that ref in the text. Thanks! The Red Hat of Pat Ferrick t 00:17, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
- Oh, ok. Let me have a look and understand how to use #ref tag and fix it. Jean Julius Vernal 10:11, 26 August 2012 (UTC)

CAS
editAppreciate the work you are doing but that model is dubious even for some social science applications. It would be different for biology, etc. etc There isn't one specific agreed model at the moment, but there are various approaches. Better no picture than a picture that is at best orientated towards one view of social systems. ----Snowded TALK 23:43, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you and noted. Please note few questions out of my genuine inquisitiveness. I would appreciate your comments and suggestions A) In case of complex adaptive organization, the biological aspect you mentioned above (If I understand it as ant colonies, bacteria or viruses) is not in the context of the article. And, we are dealing the subject in terms of management, and strategy. If that is the case, the figure - Doesnt it give a basic understanding of "the behaviour" of the CAS, and highlight the two important properties - "Self Organization" and "Emergence"? . A complicated or a detailed figure, wouldn't it be difficult for a beginner? B) Next one is a comment for the sentence - "By managing behaviour not content WIkipedia uses simple rules to produce a complex, evolving knowledge base which has largely replaced older sources in popular use". In case of wikipedia, Aren't we all managing behavior on top of content? A sentence like ""By managing behaviour, and not only mere content, Wikipedia" .. Your thoughts please. Jacqueline Bhabha
editThe article Jacqueline Bhabha has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.Jamesneilanderson (talk) 19:18, 1 October 2012 (UTC)

Skyfall
editI'm sorry but I've reverted your edit. In future, please remember WP:BRD and when your edit is reverted you need to go to the talk page to discuss, rather than just revert again. This is the English language Wiki and we do not need to dumb down our language or approach for those who cannot understand terms. "Hacking" is fairly straightforward and the context in which the term sits is also straightforward and to break it down further is just unneccessary. - SchroCat (^ • @) 15:08, 4 November 2012 (UTC)

Catholic-Hierarchy.org
editHello. I noticed that you have edited a number of articles on Catholicism. A discussion is taking place as to whether the website Catholic-Hierarchy.org is a reliable source that can be utilized on Wikipedia or whether all references and information derived from it should be deleted. This topic is currently being discussed at the Reliable Sources Noticeboard [1]. As the website's removal as a reference will affect several thousand Wikipedia articles, I believe that the broadest range of opinions should be obtained before action is taken. Please contribute if interested.Patapsco913 (talk) 22:07, 3 February 2016 (UTC)

- Let me recap why I added that. Since it was added at least twelve years ago, I'm unable to recall its relevance. I'll review it to see if it can be improved, if time permits. If you believe it isn't worth keeping, feel free to delete it. However, it's generally advisable to either keep or improve it. Unfortunately, Wikipedia editors often prefer to delete an article rather than put in the effort to improve it. The person who created it may not have the time to edit it, but if the knowledge is valuable, it should be preserved. I'm drawing from my recent experience with an article on Industry 5.0—it was completely mishandled by a group of individuals who lacked understanding. 10:59, 11 August 2024 (UTC) Jean Julius Vernal 10:59, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
