Information icon  Hello, I'm R Prazeres. I noticed that you recently made an edit to Hagia Sophia in which your edit summary did not appear to describe the change you made. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. R Prazeres (talk) 18:15, 18 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Hagia Sophia. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. R Prazeres (talk) 00:24, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

So then how was I wrong? The Eastern Orthodox faith didn’t exist at the point when the church was built. I’m not changing it to what I “think it “should” be, I was changing it to make sense. The drop box has chalcedonian church in the time frame in question. So that there shows that this page is contradictory. Fleurdesboiteaux (talk) 00:42, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
This isn't the place to argue your point. Again, start a new discussion on the talk page (Talk:Hagia Sophia in this case), explain the reasons behind your edit, and solicit a consensus from editors. That's how things work on Wikipedia, otherwise everything would be a free-for-all with no hope of improvement. Thanks, R Prazeres (talk) 00:45, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
