Spain.

edit

The first monarch to use the title "King of Spain", was Philip II upon his ascension to the throne of Portugal. Earlier Spain (España, Hispania...) was used only in a geographical sense with the meaning that modernly would be described by Iberian peninsula.

Carlos V was King of Castile, Aragón, Valencia, Mallorca, Navarre (disputed), Sicily, Archduke of Austria, Duke of Burgundy, etc. And, primarily, Emperor.

So please, stop trolling and learn the history of your own country first. --Sugaar (talk) 04:38, 23 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use images on userpages

edit

Regardless of the institution's stance, if the images are used under fair use on Wikipedia they are not permitted to be used on userpages. See WP:NFCC policy 9. Images Image:ICL-crest.png and Image:RAeS Logo.gif are both unfree images used under fair use on Wikipedia. You can't use them in this way. I'm sorry. I've removed them again. Do not re-add them without obtaining release of these images under a free license. --Hammersoft 13:24, 30 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Personal user boxes

edit

Please place all of your personal user boxes in your own namespace. This means that they should all begin with User:Escorial82/. The page Userboxes/ETA, which you created, was moved to User:Escorial82/Userboxes/ETA. Od Mishehu 14:33, 3 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

La voz de su amo

edit

Hi, Escorial82. I´ll take a look at Segui. Sigh, Wikipedia should be so easy... it is not. I suggest you to stop enganging in discussions not directly related to te page. As a rule of thumb: Engage ONLY if the other guy brings a source. I´ve lost TOOOOOOOOO much time learning this simple rule.

Look at this Talk:2004_Madrid_train_bombings. I wrote roughly half of that bloated 10 sections archive of discussions. More or less 9/10 of that pile of text is totally useless: Hablar por hablar. Learn from my errors and do not engange if the other guy brings no source.

BTW, I am an "exilee" from the Popular Republic of the Spanish Wikipedia.

Welcome to Wikipedia:WikiProject European history

edit

Welcome, sorry for the delay in getting a message out. The project is slowly reorganizing. The Project page is a bit out of date and needs updating badly. Please check the talk page for more current information and please Tag, Tag, Tag, the talk pages of any article in this topic so we can start trying to coordinate work on articles and give us some suggestions on the talk page for how we can get this Project moving again. Currently there are hundreds of related articles that are not tagged yet. Thanks and again, welcome!--Doug.(talk contribs) 03:26, 6 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

ETA attacks

edit

You recent edit (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_ETA_attacks&diff=232959310&oldid=232648936) on this page was added without a citation. Could you provide citation for your edits. I realize there are more that aren't cited, but especially if all the new edits are cited in then it helps. Lihaas (talk) 22:19, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source/license for Image:Zazpiak bat small.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Zazpiak bat small.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 01:42, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Miguel Ángel Blanco.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Miguel Ángel Blanco.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:46, 12 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Terrorism - Welcome Back!

edit

Welcome back from Wiki Project Terrorism! I'm Katarighe, a Wikipedian member since 2009. I'm currently the successor of Sherurcij in September because, he has not edited Wikipedia using this account for a considerable amount of time since May 2010. We are trying to renovate the new WP page this fall 2011 and we look forward this month whats next. If you are interested, start the renovation with us and new awards on contributing terrorism are coming soon. The WP terrorism newsletter begins January 2012. See you on October for the updates on WP terrorism. I will send this message next month about the updates. Good Luck.

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 06:01, 6 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
