Toyota Auris

I didn't find any mention of a hybrid system in the article you used as a reference. As much as I wish it is true, I'm going to have to move it to the talk page. Please let me know if you find something more substantial.

Helston edit

Hi. Just to let you know I have returned the article to the previous edit (mine). The reason why both countries are included is an attempt to stop edit warring between Cornish & British Nationalists. If only one of the two Country/Nation definitions is in the article then we get into a cycle of reverts as each party pushes their POV. As England is a constituent Country of the United Kingdom I believe that putting both falls within WP guidelines. LessHeard vanU 10:58, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Penwith edit(s)

Hi, again. With Penwith it is Project policy to include both, for the reasons given above. If you want to join the Project, or read the discussion from which the policy arose, then please use the template on the talk page. LessHeard vanU 11:04, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

See Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography/How to write about settlements for the guidelines, and the policy discussions behind them. Home nations are considered mandatory in introductions, while "UK" is optional. We tend to keep UK in Cornwall articles to prevent edit warring. Thanks, Joe D (t) 14:27, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I raised the issue at Wikipedia talk:UK Wikipedians' notice board#England, United Kingdom a week or so ago and got no response. It still looks odd to me and I'd have thought it would annoy the Cornish Nationalists but if it actually keeps the peace, that's fine. --Cavrdg 08:29, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
It is the very essence of compromise; it annoys both parties but (usually) only mildly... ;~) LessHeard vanU 20:16, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Image source problem with Image:Betfair o.gif

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Betfair o.gif. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:35, 12 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. A new Oxbridge user box

Cavrdg...I am currently in the process of writing a user box for all of the colleges that are part of Oxbridge. This template is meant to replace your current college template. Please take a look at the work in progress and comment on it. My main concerns are college abbreviations and color choice. I am using scarf colors for the colleges. Thank you. - LA @ 17:13, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:TMUK logo.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:TMUK logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:12, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Egnoslogo.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 12:12, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Rationing in the United Kingdom

Thanks for looking at this but I was stuck in the middle of editing a table, great fun. You might want to look again (I noticed one typo). I just wanted to get the table saved. SimonTrew (talk) 17:52, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Vandal warnings

I think it's recommended that you give four warnings before reporting to AIV. With small-time vandalism I've heard doing a 4im is not really warranted. JulieSpaulding (talk) 18:09, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for looking. There's been repeated vandalism of Noel Fielding recently from a variety of Antipodean IP addresses. Perhaps some level of protection would be a better approach. --Cavrdg (talk) 18:24, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
Possibly. Do you want to suggest it? JulieSpaulding (talk) 18:26, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
