editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Stanmore and Canons Park Synagogue has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \byoutube\.com (links: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_type=&search_query=menachem+herman+stanmore&aq=f). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 19:32, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
My Response
editSorry about that, I forgot you can't do links to videos. However you seemed to have deleted an entire other section in your undo. The only thing that needed reverting was that one reference.
Jerusalem on List of World Heritage Sites in the Arab States
editPer UNESCO, Jerusalem is listed in the Arab states. Take a look at this page and scroll down to where Old City of Jerusalem and its Walls is listed. You'll see that region is marked ARB - Arab States. Whether or not you think Jerusalem is in the Arab States or Asia is irrelevant; the article is merely there to reflect how UNESCO classifies it. β HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 17:22, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
My Response
editSorry, I never read the History. I have seen it now. The title Jerusalem was changed to Israel, and when I saw it, I immediately recognised that Israel is not an Arab State.

London Wikimedia Fundraiser
editGood evening! This is a friendly message from Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry, inviting you to the London Wikimedia Fundraising party on 19th December 2010, in approximately one week. This party is being held at an artistic London venue with room for approximately 300 people, and is being funded by Ed Saperia, a non-Wikipedian who has a reputation for holding exclusive events all over London. This year, he wants to help Wikipedia, and is subsidising a charity event for us. We're keen to get as many Wikimedians coming as possible, and we already have approximately 200 guests, including members of the press, and some mystery guests! More details can be found at http://ten.wikipedia.org/wiki/London - expect an Eigenharp, a mulled wine hot tub, a free hog roast, a haybale amphitheatre and more. If you're interested in coming - and we'd love to have you - please go to the ten.wikipedia page and follow the link to the Facebook event. Signing up on Facebook will add you to the party guestlist. Entry fee is a heavily subsidised Β£5 and entry is restricted to over 18s. It promises to be a 10th birthday party to remember! If you have any questions, please email me at chasemewiki at gmail.com.
Hope we'll see you there, (and apologies for the talk page spam) - Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 18:11, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
The Contribution Team cordially invites you to Imperial College London

Deleted category: Irish people of Jewish Descent
editI did not delete this category. Another admin did based on the discussion. Vegaswikian (talk) 22:58, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
- But do you agree it can be recreated? Colt .55 (talk) 06:16, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- If this goes against a full CfD discussion, you should not recreate it. The only real option here is to take the closing of the July 9 discussion to deletion review. But to do that, you would need to show that the closing of the discussion did not follow established policies or that the closing admin made an error in interpreting the consensus. So, there is really no easy way to have it recreated. You could also try opening a discussion on Wikipedia talk:Categories for discussion. If consensus there was to allow the category then someone would be able to recreate it and probably avoid a speedy deletion. The problem there is I don't think there will be a lot of discussion and you would not get support without addressing the same issues that you would have to present at DRV. Vegaswikian (talk) 06:29, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
As stated by me at the time, I was in favour of the deletion of the category, "solely on the grounds as an empty category". I added that "[T]there should be no impediment to the recreation of this category should appropriate entries be found in the future." Accordingly, I agree to it being recreated, as it will no longer be empty. Davshul (talk) 06:35, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
