Hello!

I'm the Trash Man! I log in, I run around Wikipedia, and I edit garbage, whether it'd be editing rhetoric or formatting. The Truth Is Out There... I Want To Believe!

I'm currently a college student that got into Wikipedia through a technical writing course I took in University. the amount of editing that Wikipedia goes through per day shocked me when I was researching the backchannels of Wikipedia. The amount of extensive documentation that Wikipedia has in their community portal was mindboggling to me. I think that by writing for Wikipedia, I could improve my writing, rhetoric, and research capabilities when writing for Wikipedia, and so far my experience has been great! When I was initially reading the talk pages, I was expecting near-continuous editing wars and uncivil talk of rhetoric and discourse. Fortunately, I was incorrect in my assumption.

In the age of "Alternative Facts" and "Fake News", having Wikipedia be as accurate as possible, both factually and rhetorically is extremely important. I am slightly disappointed in the number of editors that are needed for editing and combing over 5 million articles.

I'm 22 years old and a university student in Wisconsin. I believe that every human being should have access to Wikipedia and community driven projects, regardless of race, philosphy, or creed. I was born a micro-primi, being born 14 weeks early at eleven inches and less than two pounds. Added to this, I was also diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy. I've always have been bad at sports (can't even count how many times I've been picked last), but like most things, I will push and power through setbacks in life.

Wingdings is love... Wingdings is life...

I believe Linux (or, as some have recently taken to calling it, GNU / Linux) is one of the greatest inventions of the 20th century. Having software and that is free as in freedom and using free and open source software is essential to technology. I wish more people would learn to us Linux and Firefox as these communities have bettered themselves in the benefit of humanity as a whole; not resorting to tactics that Windows 10 would have, with gratudious data collection, OS advertisements, and forced updates and restarts.

I like using Firefox for its customizability through the about:config dialog and the vast extension library. Here are the extensions I use everyday:

I absolutely love the X Files. I wish that Netflix hadn't taken it off their catalog. My favorite episodes are easily:

  • 731
  • Bad Blood
  • Die Hand Die Verletzt
  • Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man
  • Pilot

Don't even bother asking my favorite Simpsons episodes; I'd have to name at least twenty here!

My favorite band is Radiohead, with my favorite album being Kid A, and favorite song being Life in a Glass House.

I am from Wisconsin, so it is written in blood that we have to be fans of the Packers and Brewers.

NIkon is my favorite camera brand. I own a Nikon D3200 with a AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm F1.8G lens. I absolutely love using this gorgeous piece of glass! I've owned this camera since I got it as a birthday gift for my 18th birthday, and I cannot live without my hobby!

The N64 is easily one of the best consoles ever creatd with one of the worst controller designs ever created... so it balances out!

Gerrymandering is one of the most politically toxic elements of politics. And, the amount of political corruption that has been involved in Donald Trump's administration is absolutely revolting. The amount of political ties that are being revealed in the connections between his administration and Russia. I will routinely support Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren throughout the next four years and beyond.
