The Wall Street Journal Referring to the bully editing I see here, I was correctly quoted as saying that I blame "an overabundance of testosterone running around the pages." Yes, I went there. 13 October 2012 (front page)

I have a sense of humorbut don't push me too hard

What am I interested in? For starters, here's a tiny sampling:

  • Phil Ochs, forever first and foremost - and he'd love the alliteration
  • The Beatles, especially Lennon, but Macca too; BeeGees (all of 'em); Cat Stevens, Moody Blues, the Eagles, Carly Simon, and many others — even some who are under age 50 65 70
  • Marshall McLuhan (one of the most brilliant people I've ever known ftf) - and other famous people I know in real life (and no, I'm not going to give you their email addresses)
  • the Amish
  • The Bronx and a variety of denizens of it, especially
  • the Cape and London
  • lights of the 60s like Murray the K, Abbie Hoffman and other cultural and political figures and events of the day, like Kent State - plus some from other decades including in this century
  • tv shows and movies from all eras, like Once, Rome, ST:TNG, Friday Night Lights, Witness, Mamma Mia!, and, surprisingly, the incomparable Sons of Anarchy - to name just a few
  • online services that I frequented in the 80s and 90s, for old-times sake
  • recent deaths, people in breaking news stories, etc. because I know we're going to have a lot of traffic and we have a responsibility to get it right and not embarrass ourselves with inadequate, inaccurate, or blatantly wrong articles
  • a wide variety of presidential candidates and other political types, their families, and associated topics, although I'm beginning to wonder why - oh, yes, it's for the fame and fortune, that's right... see below for my Cayman Islands plans... I lost heart for this on November 9, 2016, but I still keep an eye on them...

lots more

I also enjoy researching and creating articles for miscellaneous and obscure people and subjects that I had no particular prior interest in, or knowledge of, like Col Joye, Walt Witcover, Harrison J. Goldin and Philip Nadelman (who used to be blue, but seems to have been deleted - oh no!) - and expanding stubs and editing other random articles - for the pure fun of it. And I do my share of vandal-reverting, because people who destroy other people's work really piss me off. I have over 2000 4000 6500 pages (yikes!) on my watchlist - so if I miss something that you want me to see, please leave me a note or send me an email.

Off the top of my head, I have been accused of being on the staffs of Barack Obama, Hillary Rodham Clinton, John Edwards, and Chuck Schumer among others. And now I'm apparently a Republican, and again, but the second guy apologized. I'm also possibly a POV warrior for Nancy Reagan (note to the confused: this is a joke). New one: I'm accused of being a "loyal supporter of the Republican Party" and someone who has a "strong anti-Republican Party POV"... in the same thread. And I guess I'm on the Bernanke payroll too. I will be retiring to the Cayman Islands shortly with the riches I'm gathering through my Wikipedia editing of political pages. Don't forget to write.

And finally... thank you, to Ross from Brisbane... B... Susan... Ealdgyth... Frank... HJ Mitchell... Buster Seven... Hector... ArishiaNishi... IP66... my old pal andreasegde... Kierzek... and my partner-in-crime, WTR... for all the stars!

For good humour and excellence in editing, I present this barnstar to the multitalented and admirably coherent Tvoz. Rossrs 06:26, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

Making a Washington Post story for your vandalism reverting skillz is worthy of a barnstar.[1] Congratulations! B 02:33, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

The Working Wikipedian's Barnstar
For going above and beyond the call of duty to deal with the Hillary Rodham Clinton FAC when the nominator didn't follow up. Ealdgyth - Talk 14:42, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
The Original Barnstar
If only more Wikipedians saw things with the reason and cogency in this talk page edit, this would be a far better project indeed. So what if I'm a little biased because you agreed with me twice...nice job anyway!  Frank  |  talk  00:13, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
The Epic Barnstar
For another multi-year veteran of the 2008 candidates biographical articles and always-relevant music articles, for continuing to maintain a roaring presence. Wasted Time R (talk) 14:26, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

Cents for Sense
Sometimes two cents is worth alot more than it seems. Your comments about paid editing broaden the base for communication and discussion and widen the circle of ideas. Thanks for giving yours and providing some personal insight at various WP locations. ```Buster Seven Talk 14:28, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

The Resilient Barnstar
No one deserves to be jumped on like that for simply speaking their mind, especially off-site. Don't let the drama hounds get you down. You do good work here, and you don't deserve to be discouraged from being as candid as you like about your own personal opinions. 66.87.4.63 (talk) 02:19, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
Mind the Gap Award
For saying the right thing, at the right time, in the right place. andreasegde (talk) 09:53, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
