Community Advocate, Wikimedia Foundation
About me
I am a Wikipedian from British Columbia, Canada. I edit the English Wikipedia under the nickname "The Interior”, where I like to tinker at articles ranging from forest fires to pop musicians. I help out with the Wikipedia Library project and try to keep an even keel as a novice administrator. I have studied film and library science, and occasionally work the reference desk at the Vancouver Public Library.
My work
I am a Community Advocate (CA) for the Wikimedia Foundation. I started with the WMF as a Liaison for the VisualEditor product team in mid 2013. In April of 2014, I moved to the CA team. What does the CA team do? We facilitate communication between the Foundation staff and the many diverse editing communities and editors that make the project work. We also assist other WMF departments in their work, and help editors and readers with issues.
Disclaimer: I work for or provide services to the Wikimedia Foundation, and this is the account I try to use for edits or statements I make in that role. However, the Foundation does not vet all my activity, and edits, statements, or other contributions made by this account may not reflect the views of the Foundation.
