July 2020

edit
  1. Frontiers for Young Minds nominated at AfD; notified CreaturelyMe (talk · contribs) 10:31, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: No significant independant coverage found.
  2. ARITH Symposium on Computer Arithmetic nominated at AfD; notified Anannarelli (talk · contribs) 11:07, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Lack of independant coverage to make it notable as a standalone article.
  3. Asia and South Pacific Design Automation Conference nominated at AfD; notified LouScheffer (talk · contribs) 19:33, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Lack of independant coverage to make it notable as a standalone article.
  4. Cool Chips (symposium) nominated at AfD; notified A. S. Aulakh (talk · contribs) 19:34, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Lack of independant coverage to make it notable as a standalone article.
  5. IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society nominated at AfD; notified TAeiluj (talk · contribs) 21:26, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Previously PRODed (prodded?), so taking to AfD. Seems not to be notable outside of IEEE and their publications. I couldn't see much independant coverage to show it's notability for a standalone article.
  6. Elena Zarova nominated at AfD; notified Quazer (talk · contribs) 18:00, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unsourced, pretty much is a CV. Not convinced would pass WP:NPROF. Has been up for AfD before, only last year, and was deleted then. Seems likely auto-biographical to me. WP:NOTRESUME

August 2020

edit
  1. IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society nominated at AfD; notified TAeiluj (talk · contribs) 15:01, 2 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Seems to be minimal coverage outside of IEEE beyond adverts for their conferences/journals, or institutions saying one of their members has won an award from an IEEE UFFC event. Has been PRODed before.

September 2020

edit
  1. Merlin Sheldrake nominated at AfD; notified Vorbee (talk · contribs) 21:30, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
  2. Dishant Mayurbhai Pancholi nominated at AfD; notified Laqy-peenu (talk · contribs) 13:26, 8 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Assistant prof, previously PRODed. Deprodded as "WP:ANYBIO #1?", but based on http://ssbprize.gov.in/Content/prizes.aspx I'm not convinced it's a "well-known and significant award or honor", sounds more like a relatively early career prize, with not a very high monetary value. Announcement of the award is covered in a few places. As an academic, I found [1], which may be incomplete, but I don't see enough to warrant a pass of WP:NPROF.
  3. Abhinav Ajith nominated at AfD; notified Professor Heist (talk · contribs) 17:11, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Very recent graduate (completed undergrad degree in 2020), and a single published academic paper. No significant independant coverage that I could see. Perhaps WP:TOOSOON.

October 2020

edit
  1. Mohsen Esmaeili nominated at AfD; notified Juristicweb (talk · contribs) 11:58, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: PhD student, far from passing WP:NPROF.

November 2020

edit
  1. Dipen Kumar Rajak nominated at AfD; notified Kanojiyavimleshkumar (talk · contribs) 11:33, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: I didn't find sufficient evidence to warrant a pass of WP:NPROF.

January 2021

edit
  1. Razgar Rahimi nominated at AfD; notified Arashbara (talk · contribs) 10:28, 18 January 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I'm not seeing enough to warrant a pass of WP:NPROF, and beyond his untimely death I didn't find much to warrant a pass of WP:GNG.
  2. Syeda Hira Fatima Naqvi: nominated at AfD; notified Majorsww (talk · contribs) 09:21, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Recent PhD (2018), h index of 2 according to Google Scholar. No evidence of meeting WP:NPROF. At best a case of WP:TOOSOON.
  3. Category:Chartered engineers: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Philafrenzy (talk · contribs) 18:20, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Is this category really needed? Given that Chartered Engineer (UK) says there are over 180000 registrants, it doesn't seem to be a defining characteristic of an engineer that warrants a category.

edit
  1. Category:Members of the Women's Engineering Society: nominated at CfD (CfM); merging to Category:Women's Engineering Society; notified Zeromonk (talk · contribs) 09:29, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: The "Members" sub-category doesn't seem to be needed, as the parent category is effectively used for the same purpose anyway.
  2. Bulusu Krishna Chaitanya: nominated at AfD; notified Bsskchaitanya (talk · contribs) 10:02, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Assistant prof, h index of 7, and likely autobiographical. No indication of meeting WP:NPROF.
  3. Patrick Dolan: nominated at AfD; notified 2600:1700:22F2:1A0:5DBC:7474:944F:FC94 (talk · contribs) 11:25, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: University fellow (not a prof), PhD completed in 2014, h-index of 11 on Google Scholar, doesn't seem to pass WP:NPROF.
  4. Category:People associated with the International Committee on Intellectual Cooperation: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Fgnievinski (talk · contribs) 10:50, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
  5. Category:Bouloussou family of Yanam: nominated at CfD (CfR); renaming to Category:Bouloussou family; notified Bsskchaitanya (talk · contribs) 23:07, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
  6. Category:People associated with networking industry: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Tinucherian (talk · contribs) 08:45, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
  7. Category:People in computing: nominated at CfD (CfM); merging to Category:Computer industry; notified Ottawahitech (talk · contribs) 08:50, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
  8. Lisa Jones (scientist): nominated at AfD; notified Jesswade88 (talk · contribs) 18:38, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Although won a $1.1mil grant, plus a few awards, I'm not sure being an associate professor with a h-index of 19 is sufficient for this field. Perhaps WP:TOOSOON?
  9. Dmitry Zinoviev (author): nominated at AfD; notified Dzinoviev (talk · contribs) 18:59, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I'm not seeing much to warrant a pass of WP:NPROF or WP:NAUTHOR. Most notable activity might be Parovoz IS? This article also seems to be autobiographical.
  10. Trevor Grant (programmer): nominated at AfD; notified Pandacheeseburger (talk · contribs) 10:18, 24 February 2021 (UTC)

March 2021

edit
  1. Nathalie Van Raemdonck: nominated at AfD; notified X-Editor (talk · contribs) 17:57, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: PhD candidate with 3 papers is far from meeting WP:NPROF, and a few interviews isn't really enough to meet WP:GNG.
  2. Celia Reina: nominated at AfD; notified Shari Garland (talk · contribs) 10:09, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Assistant professor. Awards seem mostly early career, and citations don't seem to be sufficient to meet WP:NPROF. WP:TOOSOON? Also not convinced there is enough material to pass WP:GNG.

April 2021

edit
  1. Category:Women Ethnomusicologists: nominated at CfDS (C2A); New name: Category:Women ethnomusicologists 09:41, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Correct capitalisation
  2. Talk:Fernanda Ferreira (cognitive psychologist): nominated at RM; New name: Fernanda Ferreira (psychologist) 15:18, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: As per WP:CONCISE and WP:NCPDAB, there is no need to disambiguate the article name by saying "(cognitive psychologist)" rather than just "(psychologist)". There is no other psychologist article with a matching name.

May 2021

edit
  1. Nathalie de Leon: nominated at AfD 15:13, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Assistant prof who has only some early career awards. Not convinced passes WP:NPROF. Maybe WP:TOOSOON.

June 2021

edit
  1. Ranga Dias (scientist): nominated at AfD; notified EONBUD (talk · contribs) 15:04, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Assistant prof with h index of 11. Had some media attention for metallic hydrogen and was co-author of a paper with >350 cites back in 2017. But is this enough to warrant a pass of WP:NPROF or WP:GNG? I'm not convinced.

July 2021

edit
  1. Arshi Naqvi: nominated at AfD; notified QayamHadi (talk · contribs) 09:30, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I don't see how this passes WP:GNG or WP:NPROF. It's had a speedy deletion tag added and removed already, and been moved in and out of draft space, and from the original editor's talk page, there's mention of COI.
  2. Kemi M. Doll: nominated at AfD; notified Magpynaut (talk · contribs) 09:54, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Assistant prof, won some early career awards, not convinced passes WP:NPROF. Maybe WP:TOOSOON?
  3. Yu-Shan Lin (chemist): nominated at AfD; notified Markoveuler (talk · contribs) 16:57, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Associate prof, seems a bit run of the mill, has an early career award, plus "Machine Learning in the Chemical Sciences & Engineering Award" doesn't seem notable as it's the inaugural award of it. I don't see how this article passes WP:NPROF or WP:GNG. I don't have a feel for if the citations are suitably high to pass on that basis, but I'm doubting it.

  3. Ohemaa Adjei Andoh: nominated at AfD; notified Anani A. George (talk · contribs) 12:28, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
  4. Primary affective systems: nominated at AfD; notified Mr Robot 2020 (talk · contribs) 15:54, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Is the brainchild of Jaak Panksepp, with minimal independant coverage. Could be merged with Jaak Panksepp if need be.
  5. Aleksandra Przegalińska: nominated at AfD; notified Pundit (talk · contribs) 16:35, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Doesn't seem to meet WP:NPROF, maybe WP:TOOSOON. Is an associate prof, PhD in 2014, some recent books.
  6. Abhishek Jaguessar: nominated at AfD; notified Dnaslive34 (talk · contribs) 20:46, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

edit
  1. Category:Chief Editor:Aleksej Pechkuroy: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Music World (WM) (talk · contribs) 12:00, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This seems more like an attempt at an article than an actual category.
  2. Category:Members of the American Physical Society: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Look2See1 (talk · contribs) 17:55, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
  3. Category:List of awards and nominations received by Aleksej Pechkuroy: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Music World (WM) (talk · contribs) 15:24, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Aleksej Pechkuroy appears to not even have an article.
  4. Category:"TV Pinsk Music Top 10": nominated at CfD (CfD); notified InfoWKP (talk · contribs) 15:25, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Only entry is a sub-category concerning Aleksej Pechkuroy‎, who seemingly doesn't even have an article.
  5. Category:600 mm gauge railways in Iceland: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Aaron-Tripel (talk · contribs) 22:10, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not a category that's going to have more than a single entry anytime soon.
  6. Category:900 mm gauge railways in Iceland: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Aaron-Tripel (talk · contribs) 22:10, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not a category that's going to have more than a single entry anytime soon.
  7. Elizabeth Goldschmidt: nominated at AfD; notified Spencerweeden (talk · contribs) 10:35, 24 April 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Assistant prof, under 1000 paper cites according to Google Scholar, won an early career award in 2022. Seems like WP:TOOSOON to me. Happy to be proved wrong though.

May 2022

edit
  1. Category:Professors of chemistry (Cambridge, 1702): nominated at CfD (CfR); renaming to Category:Professors of chemistry (Cambridge); notified Charlie Awesome (talk · contribs) 18:08, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: More concise, and bit less narrow.

July 2022

edit
  1. Sanoj Rejinold: nominated at AfD; notified Sanojsti (talk · contribs) 20:06, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Seems to be an assistant prof. Not seeing how it's a pass of WP:NPROF based on citations, etc. Perhaps WP:TOOSOON.
  2. Habiganj Railway Station: nominated at AfD; notified মোঃ মশিউর রহমান চৌধুরী (talk · contribs) 10:31, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
  3. Sarah Ejiama: nominated at AfD; notified Oceanview1590 (talk · contribs) 19:37, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Sounds like an early career researcher with a few publications (including co-author on a decently cited Nature paper) who founded a non-notable company. Doesn't meet WP:NPROF and seems like WP:TOOSOON.

August 2022

edit
  1. Emski: nominated at AfD; notified Phwriter20 (talk · contribs) 20:15, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: It was only fairly recently created, but I'd already moved it to draftspace and it was recreated, and the draft version has already been declined at AfC. Don't see how it meets WP:ANYBIO or WP:NMUSIC.
  2. Kelah Kay: nominated at AfD; notified Phwriter20 (talk · contribs) 20:19, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Didn't pass at AfC and was manually moved to mainspace by it's creator. Don't see how it passes WP:NMUSIC or WP:ANYBIO.

edit
  1. Maribel Núñez-Valdez: nominated at AfD; notified SolidStateHeini (talk · contribs) 18:54, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
  2. Laura Fabris: nominated at AfD; notified SolidStateHeini (talk · contribs) 20:11, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Doesn't seem to meet WP:NPROF or WP:GNG, perhaps WP:TOOSOON. Has a publication with over 1000 cites on Google Scholar (over 1/4 of total), but was one of many authors. Awards aren't sufficient to show notability either.
  3. Darya Pinakhina: nominated at AfD; notified Estopedist1 (talk · contribs) 09:08, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
  4. Dominique Makowski: nominated at AfD; notified Neuropsychologist (talk · contribs) 16:57, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Did their PhD 4 years ago, has some seemingly minor awards, created some software packages (including Easystats). Don't see how would meet WP:NPROF, and is probably WP:TOOSOON.

edit
  1. Category:Sophia Mendonça: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Luciareis (talk · contribs) 17:45, 30 December 2022 (UTC)

January 2023

edit
  1. Category:Paulo Coelho: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Gabriel Yuji (talk · contribs) 17:44, 1 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Eponymous category named after a person, as per WP:OCEPON. This was discussed in 2017, but I feel 4 articles and a subcat is insufficient to warrant a separate category and isn't a "very notable case" as per WP:EPCATPERS.

February 2023

edit
  1. Louise Riofrio: nominated at AfD; notified Suslindisambiguator (talk · contribs) 19:33, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Doesn't seem to meet WP:NPROF or WP:NACTOR (only minor/uncredited roles). A little bit of independant coverage (e.g. the Express story) and some unreliable sources, but don't think it's enough for WP:GNG.
  2. List of Zubeen Garg live performances: nominated at AfD; notified Discographymen (talk · contribs) 13:07, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Don't see how this is notable as a standalone list (WP:LISTN). This level of detail isn't needed, and could just be a summarised in a small section on Zubeen Garg. WP:NOTDIARY.

edit
  1. Dania V. Francis: nominated at AfD; notified Mantisshrimp16 (talk · contribs) 14:22, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Assistant prof with a postdoc award, don't see how meets WP:NPROF. Not convinced being in Fortune magazine and a bit of other coverage meets WP:GNG. Seems like WP:TOOSOON perhaps.
  2. Nora Fussner: nominated at AfD; notified Beltlyre (talk · contribs) 16:38, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Having written one book, whilst it has some reviews, isn't sufficient to meet WP:NAUTHOR I don't think. Seems like WP:TOOSOON. If more reviews of the book are found, perhaps the book itself warrants an article??
  3. Queshonda Kudaisi: nominated at AfD; notified Mjleonas (talk · contribs) 16:41, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Doesn't meet WP:NPROF. The awards and honours are early career, only completed PhD in 2021, etc. I'm not convinced being a non-profit founder and the coverage regarding COVID is sufficient to meet WP:GNG. Happy to be proved wrong.
  4. Mariya Rusalenko: nominated at AfD; notified Leesaaisath (talk · contribs) 11:38, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Minimal citation counts, deputy director, don't see how meets WP:NPROF. Wrote a book in 2023, but insufficient to meet WP:NAUTHOR. Don't think meets WP:GNG from other coverage either.
  5. Jacqueline Newman (lawyer): nominated at AfD; notified NamanNomad (talk · contribs) 12:04, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
  6. Neville Grech: nominated at AfD; notified Giorgio.bonuccelli76 (talk · contribs) 14:43, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Seems to currently be a postdoc/lecture, with some early career awards and a decent amount of citations, but don't think meets WP:NPROF. Co-founded a company (Dedaub), but I didn't see enough independant coverage to meet WP:GNG. Seems like WP:TOOSOON.
  7. Xilei Zhao: nominated at AfD; notified Safetystuff (talk · contribs) 09:21, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Assistant prof with some early career awards, don't see how WP:NPROF is met. Unless I'm missing something, I don't think WP:GNG is met either. WP:TOOSOON at best.

edit
  1. Susana Vinga: nominated at AfD; notified Sarartanqueiro (talk · contribs) 20:28, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Associate prof, some early career awards, decent number of citations but perhaps not especially high. Doesn't seem to meet WP:NPROF. Might be WP:TOOSOON or WP:MILL.
  2. Cora Uhlemann: nominated at AfD; notified Ulrikelovesscience (talk · contribs) 20:41, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Finished PhD in 2015, and seems to have fairly rapidly climbed the ranks to professor in March 2024 according to the article. However I'm not seeing how WP:NPROF is met. Seems like WP:TOOSOON.
