Well, hello. I'm Troy Diggs (18Sep1976 - Current), a television news producer.
I was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas and spent most of my formative years there. I attended Arkansas State University from 1996-2000, where I majored in broadcasting.
In 1999, after years of working in retail for Hollywood Video, I started my television career working at KAIT as a morning producer. I spent a year there, before moving on to KAKE in Wichita, Kansas. I currently live in Kansas City, Missouri and work for KMBC.
In January 2007, I was asked to appear on the public radio program "Weekend America" to discuss the proposal to delete an article about news anchor Susan Peters. The outcome of the debate was to keep the article. While I do stand by the original AfD, I must say that I'm pleased a reasonable consensus was reached... and that Susan (who is a good friend) had a sense of humor about the whole situation. However, using this as an example, I would say that guidelines need to be established for television personalities. I enjoy game shows, with Face the Music being a notable interest for its cheese factor. My lifelong dream would be to be a contestant on The Price is Right. I'm also a fan of programming on BBC America, including Look Around You and Little Britain. I've recently become a fan of MythBusters, It Takes a Thief, and Mental Engineering. I am an outspoken critic of Sandra Lee.
Someday, I plan to marry Rufus Wainwright.
