In his second fight with the promotion, Moisés was scheduled to face Zach Juusola for the vacant RFA Lightweight Championship at RFA 35 on February 19, 2016. Juusola later withdrew from the bout due to an injury, and was replaced by David Castillo who moved up from the co-main event fight with David Putvin.[7] Moisés won the fight with a second-round helicopter armbar submission.[8]

Moisés was scheduled to make his first title defense against Jamall Emmers at RFA 38 on June 3, 2016.[9] He won the fight by a fifth-round technical knockout.[10]
