The Notable Performers section of this article is merely a list, all linked to the wikipedia articles of the performers but without references or support for the assertion that any of them played at the Uptown. still own the theater? There were plans to keep the main auditorium and have a shopping complex. Given its location and the strength of Trump’s College’s drama program I see enormous potential for all parties concerned. I environment the day when it will be a platform for small independent theatrical productions, house a fine hotel and be a major hun for poetry, music and pop music.
If anyone is familiar with investment groups committed to the arts, please forward this article to them.
I would say in less than ten years this theater could be all of the above and so much more.
Perhaps an interfaith Churvh and cafes could be the first venue to its partial reopening.
