Surprised?

Is anyone else surprised that TAMUCC has its own wiki entry?

CCSU history

For those of us who matriculated from the university prior to its membership in the A&M system, more information about the history of the university would be great, i.e., I believe the mascot was the seagull when it was CCSU, but I'm not certain. 20:29, 16 March 2007 (UTC)'90 grad

Yes, there is some confusion as to the history of TAMU-CC. I do know that it was the University of Corpus Christi (from somewhere around the 40s to the early 70s), and it's mascot was the Tarpon. It then became Texas A&I at Corpus Christi and a few years later became CCSU. Hey what is going on in the place. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.130.26.5 (talk) 16:22, 5 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Can anybody extended the list of former presidents? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.175.228.172 (talk) 03:39, 26 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

TAMUCC is now a doctoral granting institution. I have included the term "doctoral granting" in the lead. This is to distinguish from a masters institution which would both be graduate insitutions. There is apparently some confusion about this. I did not make up the classifications, Carnegie did. Ajohnson1984 (talk) 22:13, 2 August 2020 (UTC)Ajohnson1984Reply
