Thanks for the page formatting Lkinkade.Geir Smith 22:09, 28 January 2006 (UTC) Thanks to Dual Freg and GilliamJF for start-up help and stream-lining down the road also. Good having backup in the effort. Geir Smith 21:43, 26 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, Rudy Harderwijk again: I wonder why this page on Taranatha is 99% about the ban of the Jonang - would it not be much better to keep it a page about Taranatha, which is the idea of an encyclopedia?
You're right, it would be much better. Sylvain1972 13:14, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
Cleanup tag - Tone is completely wrong for an encyclopedia article. Written more like a position essay.--Isotope23 18:13, 20 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Per Nat Krause's intent to rewrite this I've kicked it back to a substub for him to start fresh from.--Isotope23 20:45, 21 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
That's a good first step. I'm going to remove the request for deletion and the merge, both of which are obsolete at this point, and give the proper article a start. Sylvain1972 20:54, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

Later life

edit

"Probably not long after 1614, Taranatha went to Mongolia, where he reportedly founded several monasteries. He died probably in Urga, Mongolia." Each of these 2 sentences contains "probably". Is it speculation??? According to www.zanabazar.mn, Abtai Khan asked Taranatha Lama to come to Khalkha, but the latter responded that he would not be able to do that in his current life, but he would certainly come to Khalkha in his next life (promise). Thus he came to Khalkha as Zanabazar. This means he hadn't been to Khalkha "before he was reborn as Zanabazar". What do you think? Gantuya eng (talk) 16:07, 3 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
