Moved from Archdiocese of Washington to Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington for (1) uniformity with other Roman Catholic diocesan articles on Wikipedia and (2) clarity based on Wikipedia namespace standards for articles and possible articles with similar names. --Gerald Farinas 22:40, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I did not use that exact wording, but there is now "Other priests of this diocese who became bishops", and I have borrowed information from catholic-hierarchy site. WHY WAS THE LIST REMOVED??? PLEASE ANSWER TO ME, thanks.
I did numerous edits for other dioceses on an anonymous basis where I added "Other priests of this diocese who became bishops". In doing so today for this archdiocese, I retained existing information about dioceses they were appointed to later (for example, Donoghue being Archbishop of Atlanta), but I inserted each man's FIRST assignment as bishop upon leaving this archdiocese (for example, Donoghue becoming Bishop of Charlotte when he left here). The list has been rendered in ALPHABETICAL order, and I added Brennan, who left this archdiocese relatively recently to become an auxiliary bishop in Baltimore.
And, because Bishop Shlesinger made it into catholic-hierarchy list of affiliated bishops due to being BORN here, I created a separate category for him.

Please don't yell.
Sources are required, and please keep in mind that is not the website for the archdiocese. Our goal is to have an encyclopedia article, not a directory listing or copy of the archdiocese website here. Jytdog (talk) 19:58, 31 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
