Recent page move
editI have moved this article back to its original title, Poliuto. It had recently been moved to Poliuto (Les Martyrs). Many operas have alternative titles depending on when/where they were performed. This information is reflected in the article itself and the re-directs to it. The title used for an article is the one most used by the major reference works, e.g. New Grove Dictionary of Opera. Parenthetical additions are only used to disambiguate, e.g. Otello (Rossini) vs Otello or Macbeth (opera) vs Macbeth. Voceditenore (talk) 06:55, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- Having recently expanded the Les martyrs section of this article, it became clear that there are huge differences between the two versions of the opera, the former being in French and a grand opera with significant changes - and major expansion - in the plot. Therefore, it appears to need its own article, and I have uploaded one today. Viva-Verdi (talk) 20:33, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
