I've just moved these here from the main Taggart article, because they took up so much space. I'm not particularly happy with my separating of them, but it'll do for now; it's certainly better than having them in a single table. I've also changed the title of the last column to Summary, so we could perhaps pad out the content of plots, as this is currently a major hole in our coverage of the subject. Thanks in advance for any cleaning up of mess that I've made. drewmunn talk 10:16, 8 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Episode "Knife-edge" and Alex Norton

edit

Isn't Alex Norton a guest star in "Knife-Edge" episode ? The Alex Norton that now acts as DCI Matt Burke ? This (very long) episode was broadcasted on Danish channel DR1 , Thursday 26.April. He plays a man that works at butcher's, breed pidgeons , has a dead body stored by the pidgeons. He "distributes" body parts here and there, but when Jim Taggart is going to arrest him, he is found shot to death. 83.249.166.197 (talk) 22:45, 26 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I believe you're correct! drewmunn talk 08:07, 27 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

List Numbering

edit

There appears to be a glitch in the numbering of the episodes. Both Pinnacle and Genesis (where two list apparently merge) are flagged as episode 85. Bumping up the numbers for Genesis and subsequent episodes pushes "Fact and Fiction" (generally aclaimed as episode 100) to 101. I'm guessing that maybe the count that gives F&F episode 100 status does not include the pilot? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.92.158.69 (talk) 14:52, 29 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

I wish I had looked here first, before going to the trouble of re-tracing every broadcast from the beginning. You are dead right, and your explanation of not including the pilot is probably the correct solution to the "100th episode" problem. The pilot three-episode miniseries of course was not given the title Taggart. This only began with Dead Ringer. (This still makes Fact and Fiction episode 167, but who's counting?) There remains the question of where the out-of-sequence numbers came from. Presumably these are production-order numbers, or are derived from production-order numbers, but there is no source offered.—Jerome Kohl (talk) 00:44, 29 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
I spent four hours puzzling over discrepancies between Wikipedia and imdb and 25 Years of Taggart and theSTV enumeration this afternoon. I was going to PM Colin McCredie on Twitter, but he (sensibly) seems not to take PMs from unknown sources such as I. I have not given up, and I'll post correct data with documentation if I can arrive at any. AKMAdam (talk) 16:23, 20 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
