Boy killed
editWhy this article doesn't cite anything about the little boy that she killed in Honduras?--201.166.56.25 (talk) 03:50, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
- Because most of these celebrity wikipedia biographies are guarded fiercely by fans who wish to hide facts that could diminish the celebrities even though truth is what gives fuller humanity to people. When in fact, that accident probably played a huge role in her psyche as to wanting to avoid another accident or having anxiety while driving. Reality is much more fuller than wikipedia it seems: "The van was being driven by Lopes' personal assistant, said Greg Adams, public affairs officer for the U.S. embassy. Stephanie Patterson of Atlanta was Lopes' personal assistant until her death Thursday." http://www.seattlepi.com/national/article/Lisa-Lopes-was-involved-in-traffic-fatality-3-1086231.php — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.91.10.137 (talk) 08:48, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
- It was the same Virchow but I don’t think she was the one who was driving when the boy was killed Mia.HorseGirl (talk) 13:12, 18 October 2024 (UTC)

Lisa Lopes → Lisa Left Eye Lopes – I swear to god Lisa is best remembered by her stage name Lisa Left Eye Lopes, not just Lisa Lopes, there are tons of them out there too. TheBellaTwins1445 (talk) 18:17, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose - "Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopez" would look stupid as the article title and "Left Eye" would make no sense, The article currently mentions her nickname which I think is sufficient and as far as I know we don't use nicknames like my example because that's what the lede's for. –Davey2010Talk 00:20, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose - I think it's best that it remains Lisa Lopes, as I agree with Davey2010. Having "Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes" as the article title, is akin to have "Sean "Puff Daddy, Puffy, P. Diddy, and Diddy" Combs" as the article title for P. Diddy. Idris2000 (talk) 22:58, 8 January 2018 (UTC)

Ladies First
editThe entry states that she started rapping at age 14 after hearing Latifah's "Ladies First"? Except she was born in 1971 and "Ladies First" came out in 1989. 138.44.64.30 (talk) 00:10, 30 January 2018 (UTC)
- It's taken from an interview with Lopes, where she said, "When I was 14 I heard the Queen Latifah and Monie Love song 'Ladies First'. I was so moved by that track. They were two of the first ever female rappers and were hugely influential." Maybe the age should be removed if it's wrong, as she listed that song as one of the reasons why she started rapping.
