editAlthough not mentioned in the text, Vidor's solution to Taylor's murder was that Minter's mother, Charlotte Shelby, killed Taylor. Vidor was able to track Minter down in the '70s and interviewed her. Based on the published part of the interview, Minter at least believed her mother was guilty. CFLeon 22:55, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Longest movie director career
editPortugese director Manoel de Oliveira's career equalled Vidor's a decade ago, Guinness acknowledges this too. Vidor could still have the Hollywood record. --Anshelm '77 (talk) 01:22, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
What does "a new language for sound films" mean ?
editIt would interesting to know the meaning of the sentence in the current article "Vidor's first sound film was Hallelujah!, a groundbreaking film featuring an African-American cast, and in which he established the new language for sound films (which is still used today by most directors)." What does "a new language for sound films" refer to?
Short article
editShort article.
"A Cast of Killers" is not a novel
edit"Author Sidney D. Kirkpatrick alleges that Vidor solved the murder, as described in his novel, A Cast of Killers(1986)."
The book is not a novel (I've read it). 2A02:AA1:162E:8277:745A:F2A6:FFF8:E315 (talk) 17:36, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
