Combine?

edit

No question that "The Night Kitchen" and "In the Night Kitchen" should be combined. They discuss the same book.PurpleChez 16:43, 1 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Support. No question. MURGH disc. 17:32, 1 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Merged!

edit

I've had a go at merging, although I think it may still require a little tweaking, especially on the 'Controversy' section.TimTim 21:11, 21 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Good initiative and good job! MURGH disc. 22:12, 21 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Overlinking

edit

I think the plot summary has been over-linked. Words should only be linked that are relevant to the context, and many plain English words have been linked unnecessarily. Therefore I'm going to clean a bunch of them out. TimTim 20:32, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Gibberish?

edit

Is it just me or did somebody dump a bunch of nonsense into this article, starting with "Episode Story"? It sounds like it was generated by a dissociated-press program. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.200.55.90 (talk) 23:46, 10 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Holocaust (NPR Interview)

edit

Sendak spoke in an interview with NPR's 'Fresh Air' about how this book references the Holocaust, with the chefs wearing Hitleresque moustaches and attempting to cook Maurice in an oven. Could we get somebody to write up a nice addition to this page about that?--LordHuffnPuff (talk) 23:19, 2 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

So it's true? I thought it was vandalism, it was so weird. 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 02:27, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
Not sure why the link is just to NPR; but then again, it's easy to find. [1]. (We need something about them looking more like Oliver Hardys...)--Rfsmit (talk) 17:34, 6 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup

edit

The second para of "Controversy in the United States" needs some cleanup which I can't do right now because it's NSFW! First, the factmonster.com reference needs fixing. Second, I think "scrotum" would be more accurate (I may be wrong -- I need to research it). And third, "clearly" instead of "explicitly" to avoid POV issues -- that word hints at it being pornographic, which many would agree it is not.--Rfsmit (talk) 17:42, 6 October 2009 (UTC) (Rfsmit: added section header)Reply

The milk and me

edit

From the text:

I'm in the milk / And the milk's in me. / God bless milk / And God bless me!

(Quoted from memory; I may have gotten the punctuation wrong...) Is this original with Sendak? – or if canonical, from what prior source? -- Deborahjay (talk) 08:55, 4 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Original Research

edit

Sentences like "Sendak's unique style captures the spirit and feeling of a dream, as Mickey floats, flies and dances from one panel to the next" sound like original research or plagiarism. 75.15.177.203 (talk) 14:14, 10 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
