Planetary system

- I don't care about the etiquette of not replying to old observations. This hasn't aged well. Hardly very "low" mass, it's amazing what academia hypes up to get funds. My point is really no comment needed to be made in Talk; and what you say simply perpetuates an overblown opinion.- Adam37 Talk 16:57, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
"Suspected, but unconfirmed"
editThe unsourced sentence, "HR 7722 is suspected of being a variable star, but this is unconfirmed", seems to unnecessarily cast aspersions on this star. If the accusation of variability cannot be proven or even documented with a source, I suggest that this be removed from the Wikipedia article. This site at least has the balls to come right out and call the star a "variable", without any sneaking suspicions or tiptoeing around the issue. Is that site a reliable source? If so, let's get tough, and call this star out for what it is -- a variable. - I'm not that crazy (talk) 13:50, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

HR 7722 → HD 192310 – Appears to be the most commonly-used name, as seen by a Google Scholar search and a SIMBAD search. Relisted to allow reply to the oppose vote below. Andrewa (talk) 06:58, 17 February 2014 (UTC) StringTheory11 (t • c) 17:56, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

- Comment I notice that it is also Gliese 785, did you do a comparative search on that? (or its variant forms) -- 70.24.244.161 (talk) 06:22, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
- Yes. StringTheory11 (t • c) 18:31, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose. No evidence is presented to support the assertions in the nominations. If those assertions are correct, please post the links so that other editors can verify them. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 05:47, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

Discussion
edit- Any additional comments:
I'm sorry to delay this another week, I considered closing this as move under WP:SNOW, but BrownHairedGirl does have a valid point and so I couldn't claim even a rough consensus without voting myself. Still probably a line call. Hang in there, all, and thank you StringTheory11. Andrewa (talk) 19:15, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
