I removed comments about alger Hiss being a "soviet spy", since firstly he was never convicted of espionage, and second, his perjury conviction was at the height of anti communist hysteria in the US. Lastly, the FBI was proven (by a FOIA request) to have been guily of massive prosecutorial misconduct, including perjury. --Kelt65 19:55, 17 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Gerald Nye. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

CTRL+F "Nye": "Meanwhile, some Congressional leaders like Sen. Gerald Nye (R-N.D.), an avid America Firster, charged “the Jews in Hollywood” with being hell-bent on dragging America into the war by making films like Sergeant York." How does that support your change, Suite1408? zzz (talk) 04:17, 7 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

I was very sure that it was connected to the conspiracy that the article, Gerald Nye, was talking about. Suite1408 (talk) 20:42, 7 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
I found this source and I think it will help assist my change. [1] Suite1408 (talk) 21:49, 7 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
Your latest edit makes no sense in the context of the article, but may have something to do with a source that is not cited in the article. Removed. Your apparent WP:Crusade to purge the word "isolationist"/"-ism" is equally unhelpful. See Special:Contributions/Suite1408. zzz (talk) 19:30, 10 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
"The America First movement has been described as isolationist, anti-interventionist, anti-Semitic, xenophobic, and a bunch of know-nothings." Nye was part of America First and was one of the founders of the organization, so technically he's in the mix.

Also, instead of completely reverting my edits, how about instead we come up with a compromise to avoid an edit war.Suite1408 (talk) 04:10, 8 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

So it doesn't verify it then. How about you just give up your little crusade? zzz (talk) 04:14, 8 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
