Deletion?
editWikipedia is not a dictionary, I would like to here a compelling argument on why this page should not be deleted.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.179.66.68 (talk) 10:54, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- 10 years after that comment, the article now shows how some jurisdictions differ, which is relevant to an encyclopedia. It could be much better, with academic research on recounts and the topics listed below. That's a reason to expand, not delete. Numbersinstitute (talk) 18:27, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
Needed improvement areas
edit- partial vs full recount
- legal issues
- Canvass, compare and contrast terms
- recount boards, and other local distinctions
- accuracy \ chain of custody and other reasons for recount
- Parallel vote tabulation

- Since this article doesn't have these "areas", I assume that you'd like to see them added. However, the last one links to another article. So I assume that you mean that this article can link to other articles for further information. (For example: the penultimate area is a section in another article.) Listing these areas isn't self-explanatory about what you're suggesting though. rootsmusic (talk) 00:02, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
Recount laws in certain jurisdictions
editIf there's interest in creating something like a table of recount laws for US states, here are a couple of articles that would be useful in sourcing it: Automatic Recounts, National Conference of State Legislatures; What are the recount rules in the battlegrounds?, POLITICO; State Recount Laws Searchable Database, Citizens for Election Integrity Minnesota. clpo13(talk) 00:03, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Numbersinstitute Citizens for Election Integrity Minnesota has a State Recount Laws Searchable Database. rootsmusic (talk) 18:52, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
