editWhy no mention that he is a Jew? Shouldn't there be a link to Jewish Americans? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.82.27.4 (talk) 10:54, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

Incidents
editMcGhee was arrested when smuggling 40,000 lbs of marijuana into North Carolina from Colombia in 1982. He has previously been busted for smuggling of cocaine into Louisiana. After pleading guilty, McGhee received a five-year suspended prison sentence, a fine of $15,000, and was ordered to set up an anti-drugs foundation, which he named the Make A Difference Foundation.
- This factoid seems to have come from a Motley Crue fan site. Is there a reliable source for this arrest? the factoid is also mirrired here but again it's not clear where this foundation came from.
- At the very least, the association with the Make a Difference Foundation appears to be wrong. The foundtation says that it was founded by a real estate broker named Marty Moore.
- Before any of this goes back, can somebody come up with a reliable source? --72.70.22.244 20:55, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- There is a second Make a Difference Foundation but that too seems to have different founders. It also states that it was founded in 2003, far too late to be related to that drug case.--72.70.22.244 21:09, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
I don't know who wrote that Doc Mcghee was in Kiss video 'I Love It Loud' but that was not him. It was former Kiss business manager Howard Marks that was in the video. The video was made in 1982 and Doc Mcghee only started working for Kiss in 1996. So I removed it! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.253.130.219 (talk) 19:03, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Reliable sourcing for drug charges and the Make a Difference Foundation
editI'd say the LA Times is plenty reliable source for his drug charges to be included in the article. From the LA Times archive, Oct.20, 1989 LA Times article As for the Make a Difference Foundation, according to Rolling Stone it is his foundation "the nonprofit antidrug organization McGhee was ordered to establish after he pleaded guilty to importing 40,000 pounds of marijuana into the United States." Rolling Stone article There are tons of other reliable sources for this case, I don't know why this is not in the article, is somebody sanitizing the thing? His drug charges and convictions are public record, it's not libelous or slander, it's ought to be included in the article Status4 (talk) 09:53, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
--- Looking through the history of this article over the years, any mentions of his drug charges have been consistently removed by anon IP editors. When I have some time I'll be adding the details of these convictions, including multiple reliable sources, back to this article. Status4 (talk) 10:13, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
- There's a whole episode of the podcast Wind of Change talking in detail about Doc McGhee and his involvement in the drugs trade, with Manuel Noriega and with the Make a Wish Foundation gig in Moscow. — OwenBlacker (he/him; Talk; please {{ping}} me in replies) 23:02, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
- Lots of details shared in this podcast indeed, including an interview with McGhee, who contradicts the LA-Times stating he was not "forced" to do the foundation MarmotteiNoZ 03:55, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
Someone has got stock pictures of Paul Stanley
editI was a victim of someone that is impersonating Paul Stanley with stock photos on a dating site. I reported it. But you might want to look into this further. They are also using a phone number with his name. 2601:58A:C100:4F90:8981:A0D4:A8AD:C26E (talk) 00:06, 30 March 2023 (UTC)
