GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)

Just a few notes below.

  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose, no copyvios, spelling and grammar):   b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (reference section):   b (citations to reliable sources):   c (OR):
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects):   b (focused):
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free content have fair use rationales):   b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
  • The infobox gives an American release date of December 1990, while the lead says November. Neither are sourced.
  • The article never states that players control Digger T. Rock himself; it is implied. Try and make it more obvious, as they might think it's referring to the game itself.
  • End of the first Gameplay paragraph is unsourced.
  • I couldn't find anything in any of the reviews or reliable sources about his death animation, so I've cut it from the article. I don't think it was worthy to mention either JAGUAR  15:33, 28 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Not sure if "Rare" (Background) and "life-span" (Reception) should be in single quotes ('); I always thought that double quotes (") were the preference?
  • No modern reviews? Not a huge problem—just checking.
  • In the first reference, consider linking IGN (and possibly adding Ziff Davis, as the publisher). The title ("Digger T. Rock - European release year") also isn't entirely accurate to the site itself.
  • Not sure about having MobyGames in "External links".

You've done a great job with this, as always. Just a few minor things that I found—shouldn't be very difficult to fix. If you have any concerns about my suggestions, please don't hesitate to let me know; reviewing isn't particularly my forte, though I do enjoy it. Thanks! – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 08:54, 28 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the fast review, Rhain! I think I've addressed everything, if you can take a look? Yeah, this is probably the shortest article I've ever worked on but it was something of a minor miracle that I was able to find original scans of reviews and some other information. MobyGames is great for locating such reviews just as so long it's never used in the article itself. I'm almost finished with my part of the Rare Replay topic! It's been very interesting. Glad you appreciated the review! Thanks for addressing those points so quickly, and for the clarification regarding some of them. I've reviewed a couple of czar's Rare articles recently, and it's clear that the lack of sourcing is a big annoyance, but you've both done incredible work with the information that you have. I've been keeping an eye on your Rare Replay topic since the early days back in July, and it's crazy how much you two have accomplished in such a short amount of time. You're so close to the light now!
After reviewing the article once more, I can say that everything looks good to me! Here you go:  . – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 16:23, 28 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, Rhain! Yeah, it's amazing on what anyone can accomplish once they put their minds to it. I've been writing some of Rare's earlier 80s games on the side, which adds to the momentum. I've just got one final article to write, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts - I saved the best till last. Czar has a couple more to do, so I'll might end up co-nomming one with him, if he doesn't mind. Thank you for your encouragement! JAGUAR  18:55, 28 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
