Use-cases

edit

"Left side indicates the use-cases allowed, right side the license components".

However, the article does not define what such use-cases are. JMGN (talk) 19:11, 14 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Since version 4.0, derivative works are allowed but must not be shared

edit

This seems to be contradictory to be the opposite of what is officialy stated

Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially. JMGN (talk) 20:06, 14 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

That statement is for the 'ND' versions of the licence, but you've linked to the more permissive CC-BY-4.0. Specifically, all ND versions of the licence restrict the creation and distribution of derivatives, but CC-ND-4.0 et al permit derivatives for personal use so long as they are not distributed.
