Tone notice
editThe part about the 2006 season is long, rambling, and informal. It needs to be tightened and focused. "a number of years" is not a useful description of a current marriage, either. --Scott Davis Talk 15:12, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
- The entire piece needs to be re-written. Looks dreadful. --Falcadore 07:10, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Clean-up
editI stuck the cleanup tag on as the article, with its year by year break down looks and read badly. Needs a top down re-write and a more logical approach to breaking Lowndes' career into sections. --Falcadore (talk) 21:28, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
1997 F3000 Championship
editWith regard to the correct name for the FIA’s 1997 Formula 3000 Championship it should be noted that:
- The entry in Autocourse, 1997/98, pages 274-275 uses the term “International Formula 3000 Championship”
- Automobile Year, 1997/98, page 261 refers to it as the “International Formula 3000 Championship”
- The FIA used the title “1997 FIA Formula 3000 International Championship” on the relevant results page at www.fia.com. This can be seen, as captured on the Internet Archive, at the following link - 1997 FIA Formula 3000 International Championship
Whilst acknowledging that the 1997 championship was indeed “European” by nature I have no doubt that it was “International” by name and propose to change the entry on the “Craig Lowndes” page accordingly. GTHO (talk) 03:26, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Craig Lowndes Bathurst Wins
editI think his Bathurst wins should be included where is shows his round wins, number, pole and picture ect. On the top right had side of the page. I tried to do it but it didnt work. :( Macka7887 (talk) 12:53, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
- The box at top right is defined by Template:V8 Supercar Driver and refers specifically to V8 Supercar championship round statistics, of which Lowndes 1996 Bathurst win would not count. Bathurst wins is essentially a separate statistics to his V8 Supercar record. --Falcadore (talk) 12:58, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
More Clean Up Needed
edit"Formula 3000
Lowndes left Australia and went to Europe to further his open wheeler racing career, by competing with the RSM Marko Team in the International Formula 3000 Championship[1] as team-mate to Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya. He enjoyed limited success but failed to find the budget to compete a second year." WHEN????
"Australian return
On his return to Australia" Agaqin - WHEN? "Ford
Dissatisfaction within HRT triggered Lowndes move to a new team" This type of statement needs a citation. The are numerous similar unsubstantiated comments like this in the article. Standard is poor.124.184.172.133 (talk) 12:41, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
