A fact from Chip Fletcher appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 26 September 2022 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that according to climate scientist Chip Fletcher, "our communities are scaled and built for a climate that no longer exists"?

New enough, long enough, found no copyvio, don't like ALT1 sorry but original hook is fine. Checked quoted correctly in reputable source. So all fine - ping me when you have done QPQ please. Chidgk1 (talk) 17:23, 30 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Not required for DYK but has he said anything about climate change mitigation? For example presumably EVs in Hawaii only need small batteries, so why doesn't everyone drive cheap Chinese or second hand EVs? For example Britain is a much bigger island but has much higher % EVs on road. And why don't all the roofs have solar panels? Chidgk1 (talk) 05:56, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

This article is called a biography, but it only begins with its subject's joining a university faculty. There is nothing about his birth, parents, or upbringing. We don't even learn where he studied or what institution granted his Ph.D. (presumably--even this isn't specified). What gives?? Minturn (talk) 14:18, 26 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
