Do you mean the US, or the continent? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Andrewhime (talk • contribs) 00:24, 2 January 2006
- I mean the US. This was true after Daewoo left the American market in 2003/2004. Also, the cars became uninsurable and their resell value dropped like a stone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Conor quinn (talk • contribs) 15:44, 20 January 2006
What mileage do you get with a Matiz?

Fuel Economy
editWhat is the fuel economy? --Skyemoor (talk) 19:08, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
Chevrolet Spark
editRegarding the bit about Matiz being "Also marketed in China as the Chevrolet Spark" - the "facelifted" car is also sold under that brand name in Russia. I suppose that is worth mentioning too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Moduvator (talk • contribs) 10:57, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
FSO
editMatiz M150/M200 was never sold as FSO Matiz - only M100 was. Furthermore M150 was never produced in Poland. Also I don't think that M300 will ever be sold as FSO Matiz since FSO's factory produces now nothing but Chevrolet Aveo. ~y (talk) 13:55, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
Chery QQ
editTh Chery QQ is a imitation that looks similar to the Chevrolet Spark and Daewoo Matiz but has not any relation with it. It was build by Chery Automotives and they got sue for GM for plagiarism. --Mundotaku (talk) 04:53, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- They were sued because:
- A) Chery is too similar to Chevy (Chevrolet)
- B) The QQ is almost exactly the same car but cheaper.
- Even Euro NCAP state the QQ is not as safe as Chery got rid of a lot of the safety equipment to make it cheaper than the Spark/Matiz.
- So they copied the Chevrolet Matiz/Spark and chucked out anything in the design that could make the car cheaper, like the safety equipment just to outsell GM.

Now that the Daewoo Brand is dead, There should be a Chevrolet Spark page
editSince the Daewoo nameplate has been killed even in Korea, there should probably be a Chevrolet Spark page to cover all the M300 and later variants. Or alternatively, the whole section should be renamed for the Spark and Searches for Matiz re-direct to the 'new' Spark page.
But in any case entering Chevrolet Spark and landing on a page for a no-longer existent Daewoo is as clever as seeing Wikipedia pages that talk about events that "will happen in 2008" (or similar).Bwob (talk) 08:46, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
move
editThis page should be moved to Chevrolet Spark, because there is no longer a Daewoo Matiz. See this Chevy Korea site. Fleetham (talk) 00:21, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- That doesn't automoatically follow. People will still search for the Daewoo Matiz and the Cherolet Matiz or Spark. I think things are fine how they are atm. Thanks ツ Jenova20 (email) 08:25, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- I believe that's what redirects are for. The current generation is nowhere known as the Matiz and the Daewoo brand is no longer in existence. I think that the page should reflect these changes. Fleetham (talk) 17:26, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
- Try asking here where you can get a bigger audience. These guys are great with this kinda stuff. Thanks ツ Jenova20 (email) 08:30, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

Opel vehicles and Vauxhill vehicles as Categories here
editThese two categories, Category:Opel vehicles and Category:Vauxhall vehicles have been added here, precisely because the Chevrolet Spark Generation 4, Opel Karl and Vaux Viva 2015 - 2019 are tight and indisputable rebadged variants of each other. As it happens, there is a separate article on the Opel Karl and Vauxhill Viva, but that does not undo the fact that the Opel Carl and Vaux. Viva 2015-19, existed as variants of the Spark, came off the same assembly line, shared all but incidental bodywork and engineering. The Opel Karl might best be merged with this article; it provides little other info than what is here.842U (talk) 05:49, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- As Andra Febrian said in an edit revision, this "could only happen after the Opel Karl article is actually merged here". So, why not propose merging the Opel Karl article to this article? Syncro26152XL (talk) 17:50, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- As Syncro26152XL said, propose a merge first. Andra Febrian (talk) 03:11, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
Move
editShould we rename the article to Daewoo Matiz/Chevrolet Spark? Because it's about both cars. (G)jabz (talk) 14:22, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose - proposed title does not follow convention and ignores many other names that the car used (Chevrolet Matiz, Chevrolet Beat, Opel Karl, Vauxhall Viva, Holden Spark, Holden Barina Spark, etc). I know this is WP:OTHERSTUFF but take a look at a previous move request for car articles with multiple nameplates here. My other personal opinion is that the proposed title is also less search engine-friendly. Andra Febrian (talk) 14:33, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
